Rhino Recycle alleviates the need for collection sites to dispose of 20 lb. propane cylinders independently. By calling 888-753-7159, a site that has unwanted and discarded 20 lb. propane tanks for disposal can arrange for Blue Rhino to pick them up. In most cases, an organization must have a minimum of 36 non-punctured tanks.

Blue Rhino will refurbish collected tanks by shot-blasting and repainting the tanks and by retrofitting outdated valves and other components, thus prolonging their useable lives. If a tank does not meet safety and quality standards, Blue Rhino will reclaim any unused propane and recycle the steel.

A small per tank fee may apply in some circumstances.
